This chapter will show you how to control iRecordMusic to record audio.
The round button in iRecordMusic browser windows identify the current state of the application.

Audio is playing, iRecordMusic is not in recording mode and is not writing any data to disk

Audio is playing, iRecordMusic is recording audio data to disk

iRecordMusic is in recording mode, waiting for audio to play so it can be recorded to disk

iRecordMusic is in recording mode, but is paused, so no audio data is saved to disk.
When iRecordMusic is waiting for audio, if there is no audio after a certain amount of time, the recording is stopped. This behaviour, and others, can be changed in the Preferences.
